HK Underpass Village

​

Having got to know some of the members of a community living under an overpass through other work in the area, I spent one evening capturing this community and their informal dwellings. I wanted to present it as a collage, to show the order that can come from disparate images: a group of people have put themselves in that space and without any external organisation have arranged themselves into a community. Having the collage as one continuous image shows both the extent to which this community has established themselves, and allows the viewer to see the individuality present in each home.
